No partner or experience needed, start any time!Every Wednesday at Jazzbourne we have an evening dedicated to the original swing dance – the Lindy Hop from the 1930s and 40s. Join the drop-in class for beginners taught by Sharon Davis, a world renowned swing dancer with over 20 years experience.
After the class there is plenty of time to practice what you learned and have a drink with your fellow students. Expect a fun and relaxed atmosphere in a jazzy speakeasy-style venue.
Wednesday evening Schedule:
6.30pm Doors open for class registrations
7pm to 8pm Beginners Lindy Hop class
8pm to 11pm Social dance time

About the Class:
This is a Lindy Hop lesson for adult beginners. You will learn how to Lindy Hop from scratch with award-winning swing dancer Sharon Davis. Lindy Hop is the original swing dance from the 1930s and 40s – it’s the happiest dance on earth! This is a 1-hour beginner level dance class, zero experience needed. You don’t need to bring a partner because we will rotate partners in class, so you will dance with lots of people. It’s a great way to make friends.
This is a drop-in class, not a course, so these classes can be taken in any order. Start any time and drop in whenever you want. It doesn’t matter if you miss a week or attend irregularly. Walk-ins are very welcome.
Online Price:
Classes booked online cost £15 per class or 1 class credit.
Get discounts by purchasing a prepaid package of class credits (like 4 class credits for £50 or 10 class credits for £100).
To use class credits to pay for a class, purchase the package first to load credits onto your account. Then book a class while logged in to your account and a credit will be deducted at the checkout stage.
Price at the Door:
Booking is not essential, walk-ins are very welcome. If paying at the door, the price per person is £15 (if you take the 8.30pm class too, the door price is £25 for both). We are cashless, so card and contactless payments only please.
