Mahjong Monday at The Cottage • Beginner Mahjong 101
Join us! Mahjong is a centuries-old tile game that is steeped in history, art, and tradition, and will quickly become your newest obsession! Lisa from Blue Tiger Mahj Club will be on hand to teach you all the beginner basics: the tiles, the player card, how to deal, finding your best hand, and so much more! Come get your mahj-on in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere!
Ticket includes:
- All mahjong game pieces, accessories, cards, and teaching aids for use during the lesson
- Come early to shop the store
- Light snacks provided
- Beverages available for purchase (no outside drinks please)

12:45 - 1:00pm • Player arrival, , find a seat
1:00 - 2:20pm • Brief history of mahjong, learn the tiles, objective of the game, learn about beginner hands
2:20 - 2:30pm • Refreshment break
2:30 - 4:00pm • Deal, Charleston, and game play
Important Things to Note:
**Due to limited capacity, all ticket sales are final.
**Minumum 8 players for the session to run. If there are not enough players, players with tickets will be notified and ticket fees will be refunded.
**Tickets are non-transferrable and only tickets sold through this Eventbrite link will be honored. This is to protect you from scams.
**Since this is a game where four players is best, please kindly inform us if you cannot attend 48hrs or more prior to event so we can attempt to find appropriate numbers of players.
