Attention Photographers:
• Want to learn how to better control your lighting on your subject?
• What’s the difference between short lighting and broad lighting?
• What kind of effects can you achieve with just one light?
• How do you achieve a dramatic rim-lighting look?
The Manhattan Figure Study & Lighting will host an hour-long group lighting workshop that will show you the basics of various lighting styles that you can use in your next figure study shoot and other portrait shoots.
Our Staff will demonstrate different lighting techniques using both constant lighting as well as studio strobes that will help you improve your lighting techniques.
Date: Saturday, May 20
Time: 3 - 4pm
Location: Studio 37 — Specific address with paid ticket
Cost: $50 flat fee (plus Eventbrite Fee)
Note: If you’re shooting with a model earlier in the day, you can book this session at the studio with cash or Venmo.
Please be aware that this is NOT a figure study shoot, but a lighting seminar.
What to bring? Any digital (or even film) camera.

Please note that the shooting subject may be one of our models if available and they will be in casual apparel; or one of our organizers may be the lighting subject. Model releases are not included and will be an option offered at an additional $10, payable to the model.
