Beginner DJ Workshop with nextdimensional [April 2026]

This two-part Beginner DJ workshop will be held on 4/22 and 4/29. Each session will cover different material (outlined below), and you're welome to attend either or both. A laptop and any type of headphones are required; no other gear is necessary. 

No experience necessary, beginners encouraged! We will be learning on Rekordbox [free software] and the knowledge can be applied to any DJ controller. 

The Beginner DJ workshop on 4/22 will cover: 

-Gear orientation / Rekordbox 101 

-Building your music library 

-Beatmatching basics 

-Simple transitions 

The Beginner DJ workshop on 4/29 will cover: 

-Rekordbox workflows: music organization, prepping a set, beat grid adjustment 

-Intermediate transitions: 

-Hot Cues & Looping 

-Mixing in key 

-FX 

This will be a small, intimate class with the opportunity for 1x1 feedback from nextdimensional. It will be a very low-pressure, judgment-free environment for anyone who feels a bit intimidated or nervous learning a new skill. All are welcome! :)
