This class is suitable for anyone who is 16+ years
This class aims to teach the basics of a lambeth cake from as well as filling crumbing and coating along the way! We will dive into the different piping techniques used to create a lambeth cake such as shell boarders, ruffles and piping along the side of the cake and creating a stunning colour palette to compliment the piping and techniques used on your Lady Lambeth, and topping it off with scrumptious Maraschino Cherries.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Stack and fill cake with buttercream and crumb coat
Preparing, filling, and holding a piping bag (including the prevention of air-bubbles)
Students will choose their colour scheme and colour pre-made buttercream
The use of a turntable and other tools to assist the decorating process
Piping buttercream using a variety of tips to create various designs in the Lambeth style such as, shell borders & ruffles
And the pièce de résistance, adding beautiful plump maraschino cherries to your cake for a stunning finish
