About this Event
Perfect for those new to birding. We’ll take a gentle walk round the Whitehill trail loop (0.7km) listening out and identifying common species of bird. We’ll practice using binoculars and ID apps/books to build confidence in recognising birds in the wild.
This is a family friendly event open to all ages. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Where to meet: FLS Pendreich Forest car park on Sherrifmuir road- free car parking. On sunny days the car park can get busy, so please consider car sharing or alternative means of transport if possible.
What to bring: The trail is surfaced but is uneven and rocky in places, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather. I have a limited number of binoculars and ID books to borrow, but if you have your own please do bring them along as well as a charged smartphone with any Bird ID apps you prefer to use downloaded.
Please note: this event is weather dependent and may be cancelled in the event of severe weather. There are no facilities on site, so please plan accordingly.
