About Your Guide: Karen Cohen Gibbons, MA, RYT
**************************************************************
Karen skillfully and heartfully guides people inward and welcomes them outward through Conscious, Creative and Embodied techniques informed by Psychology, Mindfulness, Dance/Movement Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy and Somatic Awareness.
Her gifts of deep listening, attunement, empathic compassion and intuitive guidance make her a valued and regarded ally in times of growth, healing and change.
Through many years working in clinical mental health environments as well as educational, wellness and recreational communities - her approach to mental health and wellbeing is experiential, heart-honoring, trauma-informed, person-centered, creative, embodied and relational.
Karen has a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology with specialization in Creativity and Innovation and 15+ years of Professional experience in Creative and Embodied Leadership positions. These include, Therapeutic dance/movement specialist as part of inpatient eating disorder treatment hospital team, Adjunct Faculty member and Professional Development trainer, Student Practicum Coach/Mentor, Certified Yoga Instructor, Mindfulness Educator, Dance Teacher, Art Teacher, Reiki master practitioner and Community Program Creator and Program Development Consultant.
