Attendance: In-person + ZoomContinuing Education: 2 CE Credits Available
In preparation for the upcoming lectures on the Red Book, George Bright asks that you all have a copy of the reader's edition on hand.
This seminar will focus on a detailed reading of The Red Book: Liber Novus, Jung’s contemporaneous record of the development of his thinking about the unconscious, archetypes, the individuation process, the Self, the transcendent function, and the symbol. This historical perspective will aim to clarify and rectify many disparate understandings concerning the formulation of analytical psychology subsequent to 1916, including how to apply Jung's ideas in light of current thinking in clinical practice. In each of the two-hour seminars, participants will read the text aloud, set the ideas presented in historical context, have the opportunity to respond to the visual and written material on a personal level, and learn how to recognize and identify when these ideas emerge in the context of analytic work.
This part of the seminar will cover Chapter 10: Instruction and Chapter 11: Resolution.
