About this Event

Before Us, Christ is a musical written by Karl Salenda and developed under the Trumpets PlayWrite Program.

In the uneventful town of Nazareth, there is a budding romance between Mary, a teenage girl dreaming to become a mother, and Joseph, a young carpenter who longs for love. On the night of their betrothal, Mary is visited by an angel who prophesies that she has been chosen by God to bear His Son, Jesus. This creates a rift between Mary and her family, her community, and Joseph.
