Event Description This is the sweetest way to learn how honey becomes honey.
Designed as a fun, low-pressure introduction, Course #96 invites participants behind the scenes of honey processing—no hive work required. You’ll get hands-on experience with uncapping and centrifugal extraction, watch golden frames spin into liquid sunshine, and finish the day bottling and labeling honey ready to share, gift, or proudly keep for yourself. Participants will take home two bottles of honey they helped produce.
This workshop is perfect for first-timers, families, curious food lovers, and anyone who wants to understand the magic that happens after honey leaves the hive—without needing a bee suit or prior experience. Expect good smells, good conversation, and plenty of “aha!” moments.
What we’ll do:
- Open capped frames and explore what ripe honey looks and smells like
- Use centrifugal extractors to release honey from the comb
- Bottle honey and learn simple, practical labeling tips
- Talk about flavor, color, and why no two harvests are ever the same
Why you’ll love it:
- No bees, no stress, no prerequisites
- Hands-on, interactive, and beginner-friendly
Come curious. Leave sticky. 🍯
