Join us for a Sad Hour! Cold drinks, complicated feelings, good company, and where grief is always on tap.
About this Event

Father's Day can be a really crappy day for some of us.

Maybe your dad is dead. Maybe he's alive, but things are complicated.

Maybe you're estranged. Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're grateful. Maybe you're all three before noon. Maybe you're a dad who's carrying grief of your own. Maybe you want to be a dad but you’re not.

Whatever your story, Father's Day can bring up a lot more than backyard cookouts and matching polo shirts.

That's why we're hosting Beers & Tears, a Father's Day Sad Hour for anyone who could use some company from people who get it.

No forced sharing. No icebreakers. No inspirational speeches. No pretending you have the best dad ever. Just a casual gathering at Bull McCabe's where you can grab a drink, talk if you want to, listen if you don't, and spend a couple hours around people who get it.

Come solo. Bring a friend. Stay the whole time or just pop by.

Because Father's Day isn't simple for everyone—and you shouldn't have to spend it alone.

Tickets: $10- includes a $10 credit towards your bar tab and reserves your spot.

What are Sad Hours? Sad Hours (because not every hour is happy) are our way of flipping the script on how we deal with loss. They’re real-life gatherings where you can ditch the “I’m fine” act and actually talk about what’s going on—the heavy stuff, the messy stuff, the human stuff—with people who get it.

No two Sad Hours are the same. We’ve shared stories over fries, made candles together, unrolled yoga mats — and we’re always game to try something new. The vibe is simple: real people talking about real things…or just listening. There’s no pressure to share if you don’t want to. Sad Hours are all about real connection around a table, or over a drink or two (or zero).
