About this Event
The Wilderness Act + Great Bend of the Gila Beer Release and Trivia
In 1964, Congress passed the Wilderness Act, a landmark conservation bill that established the National Wilderness Preservation System, a network of over 800 federally designated wilderness areas that conserve nearly 112 million acres of wilderness areas from coast to coast.
In Arizona, there are 90 Wilderness areas that protect jagged mountain ranges, red rock canyons, precious waterways, and desert plateaus. Two of those 90 are in the proposed Great Bend of the Gila National Monument.
Join us at Arizona Wilderness Brewing in Phoenix from 5pm-8pm for two special beer releases and AZ Inspired Trivia to celebrate the proposed Great Bend of the Gila National Monument and the 60th anniversary of the Wilderness Act!
