Who Are We? We are a community of citizens who enjoy singing together for the sake of simply singing together. We particularly enjoy singing gospel music and spirituals.
What IS Beer and Hymns?
Beer and Hymns was inspired by Irish and English pubs where singing happens frequently and spontaneously, and this often includes the singing of hymns. A music and story-telling festival in North Carolina called the Wild Goose Festival introduced Beer and Hymns in the United States and now there are Beer and Hymns communities all over the country. And it is as simple and wonderful as it sounds.
Who is invited?
Quite literally everyone. You don’t have to be a beer drinker and you don’t have to be a believer of any kind. Take a seat. Drink slowly. Sing loudly. Make some friends. And have some fun. It’s as simple as that.
Bring your voice. Bring your instrument. Bring your friends.
