This four-session workshop will cover the following topics:-Basic components of a hive and the use of basic beekeeping equipment.
-Bee biology and the roles and life cycles of workers, drones and the queen.
-Hive care through the year.
-Bee nutrition.
-Hive inspections, pest and disease management.
-Preparing a hive to overwinter.
-Products from the hive.
The goal is to prepare beginners for a fun and successful year of beekeeping.
