Whether you are thinking of becoming a Beekeeper, are interested in the fascinating world of the honey bee, or you fancy experiencing something incredible, book on to one of our Beekeeping Experience Sessions. You'll learn about the lifecycle of the honey bee, types of hives in our classroom setting.
Then you will get kitted out in a Beekeeper's suit and head to our garden training apiary, where we will open one of our beehives and you will get to handle a frame or two of bees. We will discuss what we see and hopefully see the illusive Quenn bee wandering around.
You'll get around 45-60 minutes in the apiary, depending on what we see, and plenty of photograph opportunities to show upur friends.
After the experience, we'll head back to the classroom and enjoy refreshments, homemade cake, honey tasting and discuss next steps to becoming a beekeeper.
The experience is suitable for ages 7 years old and upwards (children must be accompanied by a paying adult)
