Join Jenny Deans for a colourful presentation about local native bees, and a hands-on community bee hotel building workshop. You will discover:
• what native bees look like
• the role of native bees in conservation and food security
• what native bees need to thrive
• top tips to attract and care for native bees in your backyard
You will build a bee mini-hotel from recycled materials (to take home) and contribute to installation of bee hotels at Gawler Environment Centre.
This workshop is funded by Grants for Seniors and presented on the International Day for Older Persons.
