About this Event
Volunteer with TCV at Hermitage of Braid to build a bee bank and manage wildflower meadows.
Bee banks are specially designed sandy structures that provide nesting sites for solitary bees—key pollinators that are vital for healthy ecosystems. By creating these banks and managing wildflower meadows, we’re improving food sources and shelter for pollinators, which in turn supports birds and other wildlife. These actions contribute directly to the Edinburgh Nature Network, helping connect green spaces and strengthen biodiversity corridors across the city.
You’ll learn practical skills in habitat creation and meadow management, meet like-minded volunteers, and make a real difference to urban nature recovery.
The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) connects people and green spaces to create healthier, happier communities. Our volunteers play a vital role in restoring habitats, improving biodiversity, and making nature accessible for everyone.
