After our first fantastic event, we are back for 2026! Join us at The Quarry Theatre in April for a weekend celebrating the best of independent cinema. Bedford Independent Film Festival runs from Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th April, and this year’s programme is designed for filmmakers, cast and crew, and local film enthusiasts alike.Over the course of three days, the festival will feature a variety of independent feature films and a wide selection of shorts across an array of genres, showcasing work from new and established filmmakers with thought-provoking seminars and special networking events. Whether you're a filmmaker seeking inspiration, a film lover looking for your next favourite, or just curious about the world of indie cinema, there’s something here for you!
The weekend kicks off on Friday night with an opening screening and a welcome drink, setting the tone for what promises to be a memorable weekend.
An award ceremony will recognise the festival’s standout films and talent, creating a sense of occasion while celebrating the hard work behind the scenes. With plenty of opportunities to connect and share stories, this will be more than just a series of screenings - it’s an opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the art of filmmaking and the filmmakers that work tirelessly to bring their visions to life.
