The seminar will be held on October 4, 10:30 a.m., at the Luna room, during #Agrilink. 🦆The seminar will guide emerging duck farmers on how to become certified Itik Pinas breeder farms — helping propagate the improved native duck breed known for its superior performance. You’ll learn the steps and requirements to get breeding stock, maintain breeder standards, and access market opportunities in egg and duck production.
🦆 Itik Pinas (IP) is a genetically improved Philippine Mallard duck developed by NSPRDC-BAI and DOST-PCAARRD. It’s disease-resistant, suited to the local climate, and delivers better egg production compared to traditional ducks.
🦆 The IP breed has different pureline strains, and its improvement continues at the R&D facility in Tiaong, Quezon.
🦆 UNAHCO’s Sarimanok is a long-established partner in feeds for ducks, chickens, and broilers, and is deeply involved in supporting Itik Pinas breeding farms.
