Becoming a Mom (BAM)
Join us for Becoming a Mom (BAM), a free educational and support program designed for individuals preparing for pregnancy, expectant parents, newly postpartum mothers, and parents with infants. This interactive series provides a welcoming space to learn, connect, and prepare for pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and early parenting.
The BAM program is an 8-week educational series, with classes generally held once per week on Thursdays. Each session builds upon the previous one, providing participants with a comprehensive learning experience and ongoing support throughout their journey.
Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and support from community partners and maternal health professionals, participants will gain practical knowledge and resources to support a healthy pregnancy and a confident transition into parenthood.
Topics Include:
- Understanding pregnancy and prenatal care
- Healthy eating and wellness
- Managing stress and emotional health
- Things to avoid during pregnancy
- Preparing for labor and delivery
- Caring for your newborn
- Postpartum self-care and recovery
- Building a support system and connecting to community resources
Participants will also have opportunities to meet other parents, ask questions in a supportive environment, and receive helpful class materials and incentives throughout the series.
Important Registration Information
Registering through Eventbrite is the first step. To complete your enrollment in the Becoming a Mom (BAM) program, please scan the QR code on the flyer and complete the BAM Registration Form. Your registration is not considered complete until both the Eventbrite registration and BAM Registration Form have been submitted.
Graduation Celebration
The ninth and final session will serve as a Graduation Celebration, where participants can celebrate their accomplishments, reflect on their journey, and be recognized for completing the program.
