Join the Distant Relatives Project on our mission to empower people experiencing homelessness and lead them on a path to self-sustainabilityBe a part of our mission to uplift individuals experiencing homelessness through our "Empowering Our Relatives" initiative. This program, a core program of the Distant Relatives Project, focuses on providing crucial resources and support to unhoused individuals, helping them move towards self-reliance and long-term stability.
Every month, on the last Saturday, we unite at McPherson Square Park to provide fresh food and produce, first aid and personal care, health screenings and education, and vocational workshops, fostering hope and empowerment for our community members in need.
It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Our healthcare team is committed to making health services and education more accessible in underserved and remote communities. This month we'll be partnering with Whitman Walker to provide free breast cancer screenigns for people experiencing homelessness.
