About this Event
Welcome to our kitchen!

Have you ever dreamed of making your own bread? Florence and Jade are here to make your dream come true!
Learn to make sourdough bread with us, from start to finish. We will make the dough, knead it, shape it, bake it. And of course, we will talk about the sourdough starter extensively.
At the end of the class, we will sit down and have a meal and sample the bread baked in class! You will leave with your very own dough to bake at home the following day, and some sourdough starter to keep on baking!

Food therapy.
There is nothing quite like making your own bread. The satisfaction of turning flour, water, and salt into a warm and crispy loaf is truly something else. Sourdough bread is one of the healthiest breads you can eat, and kneading the dough itself is quite therapeutic. We often refer to it as play dough for adults. Leave your worries at the door and make some bread!

A one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience.
We will start by making the dough. This is a fun (if not messy) experience. You will learn the proper kneading technique and will practice shaping. While the dough rests, Jade will school you on the Art of Fermentation and the Science Behind Bread.
The bread then goes in the oven, and we will show you two baking methods to ensure you get the best results at home!
Then comes the tasting session: we sit down, eat, laugh, talk, and eat some more.
We will then shape your bread and pack it up for you to bake the next day, and you will leave feeling like a legend. A sourdough legend.

About the hosts.
Florence and Jade are a funky mother-daughter duo with a love for good food. Together, they teach workshops on all things delicious with only two goals in mind: having fun and satisfying tastebuds!
Florence is a self-taught pastry chef who specializes in baking with food restrictions: less sugar, less fat, gluten-free... She does it all! Having a sweet tooth, she started baking upon noticing the low offer of healthy but satisfying pastries in France. Over the years, she has perfected her craft and taken her knowledge to different countries.
Jade, on the other hand, focuses more on cooking. After ending up in a small town in central France where none of the restaurants were to her liking, she decided to start cooking and "bring the restaurant home". She is very interested in the whys and hows of food, is always researching new techniques.
