Sound Healing Intensive

Are you a yoga or wellness professional eager to integrate sound healing into your practice? Did you buy a crystal bowl online and are unsure what’s next? Deep dive into the art of sound healing with hands-on training in gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, and other specialty instruments.


  • Advance your playing skills and instrument variety
  • Learn practical techniques for immediate integration into your yoga classes or wellness practice
  • The science of sound and frequencies
  • How to plan and hold space in a sound journey and lead with confidence
  • Therapeutic applications

Students are encouraged to bring their instruments, although some will be provided. Our weekend will conclude with a sound practicum and free community concert 4-5pm on Sunday.

Post training will include a complimentary instrument consultation with discounted ordering, and a 1:1 video check-in with students they can use at any time.

Detailed Schedule:

Day 1: Foundation in Sound Healing and Instrument Mastery

  • Morning Session:
    • 9-9:30am Welcome and Introduction to Sound Healing: Discussing the transformative impact of sound therapy.
    • 9:30-10:00am Introduction to Instruments: Learning about the features, selection, and care of gongs, crystal bowls, chimes, and specialty instruments.
    • 10-12:00pm Hands-On Practice: Refreshing and gaining techniques for each instrument.

Lunch 12-1pm - please be on your mat by 12:55 to settle in.

  • Afternoon Session:
    • 1-2pm Interactive Session: Integrating sound healing with yoga asanas and sequences.
    • 2-4:00pm Interactive Deep Dive into Instruments: Focused playing techniques for gongs and crystal bowls.
    • 4-4:30pm Discussion: Methods of integrating these instruments into yoga classes.
    • 4:30-5:30pm Group Work: Developing unique sound profiles tailored for specific yoga classes.
    • 5:30-6:00 Teacher led Gong Yoga Nidra


Day 2: Advanced Facilitation Skills and Practicum

  • Morning Session:
    • 9-9:30am The Science of Sound - frequencies and the WHY
    • 9:30-11:00am Workshop Techniques for blending sounds to create cohesive soundscapes.
    • 11-11:30am Role-Playing: Exercises to build confidence in holding space and managing group dynamics.
    • 11:30-12:00pm Energetic Hygiene: Discussing the importance of facilitator’s pre/post session preparation to manage personal energy.

Lunch 12-1pm - please be on your mat by 12:55 to settle in.

  • Afternoon Session:
    • 1-2:30pm Teacher led sound journey & discussion
    • 2:30-3:30 Logistics, and instrument selection and care, q/a
    • 3:30-4:00pm Lecture/discussion Holding space and group dynamics
    • 4:30-5:30pm Discussion on the therapeutic applications of sound, with a focus on the gong, demo a therapeutic session
    • 5:30-6:00pm Form groups, discuss practicums and concert logistics


Day 3: Community Engagement and Practical Application

  • Morning Session:
    • 9-10:00am Teacher lead Yoga & Sound
    • 10-11:30am Practicum / Group planning & practice - integrative sound journey
  • 11:30-12:00pm Mini Sound Sessions: Participants conduct short sound journey sessions, practicing their skills.

Lunch 12-1pm - please be on your mat by 12:55 to settle in.

  • Afternoon Session: These times will shift based on the community concert
  • 1-2:30pm Mini Sound Sessions Continued: Participants conduct short sound journey sessions, practicing their skills.
  • 2:30-3:00pm Feedback and Reflection: Group reflection and feedback on the practicum sessions.
  • 3:00-4:00pm Participants organize for the community concert and practice playing together.
  • 4-5:00pm Execution of Community Concert: Conducting a sound bath open to friends and family, showcasing the skills developed during the workshop. End with a debrief and Feedback: Gathering feedback from participants and concert attendees.
  • 5-5:30pm Reflection and Closure: Reflecting on the learning journey and discussing ongoing community support and future training opportunities.
