Beck Sian (cousin of Kate Bush) and David Brimacombe will be performing an eclectic and atmospheric selection of Celtic, folk, and Beck’s original music inspired by nature, folklore, feelings and fantasy, plus a quirky cover or two... in a multi-instrumental experience, with two acoustic guitars, harp and more! Perfect for this very evocative and spectacular venue at Mira Mira Castle, where creativity is celebrated exuberantly!Beck Sian is a part-Irish, part-Welsh Aussie with a passion for Celtic music and folklore. Based in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, where the tree ferns, moss and Mountain Ash trees creep into Beck’s lyrics. She loves to sing.
Beck and David will take the audience on a journey through ruined castles, around a still, mist-cloaked loch and through mossy forests of Celtic lands… and then into the ferny forests of
Australia.
During 2025 Beck Sian was the winner of the Birrarung Riverfest Singer-Songwriter Competition for her song ‘From the Ranges to the Sea’ (which she then performed at Fed in Melbourne for World River’s Day), and her song ‘Banshee’ made it into the Top 30 finalists in the ASA (Australian Songwriters Awards). With four albums under her belt, and another on the way this year, the audience at Mira Mira Castle will be the first to hear some of the new songs.
Beck will be supported by the wonderful Mita on hand pan, an experience not to be missed!
