Pathways to Inner Peace
“Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible,” Geshe Kelsang said. That tells us a lot about how important inner peace is—to us, to our friends and family, and to our world.
But for many of us inner peace feels far from our personal experience. We may wonder how we could even become peaceful. The world is crazy, our schedules are ultra jampacked, work is a madhouse. How can I squeeze in inner peace?
By taking the advice of Buddhist master Shantideva and following the path of the Bodhisattva, someone who is always progressing towards enlightenment because they have a spontaneous and continuous wish to help everyone. Their constant practice of the “six perfections” is leading them to full enlightenment, and it can lead us too, as we weave this practice into our daily lives.
