🌳 Beaverdale Memorial Tree Walk
📍 Where to Meet
Please plan to meet at: The brick Beaverdale sign in the Urbandale Median (on Beaver Ave & Urbandale, Fareway side)
Beaverdale Remembers... Come take a meaningful walk through Beaverdale and experience a part of our neighborhood that quietly holds so many stories.
This guided Memorial Tree Walk is an opportunity to remember and learn about the past, present, and future of the Memorial Tree Project, while connecting with neighbors and the history rooted right here in our community.
Whether you’ve lived here for years or are just getting to know Beaverdale, you’re warmly invited to join us.
🌳 What to Expect:
- We’ll begin at 2:00 PM with a guided storytelling walk through the trees in the Urbandale Median along Beaver Ave.
- Learn how the Memorial Tree Project began
Hear stories behind specific trees and the neighbors they honor
- Get a glimpse into the vision for the future of the project
- Receive an “About the Trees” handout to continue exploring on your own
Depending on group size, we will likely break into smaller groups led by Beaverdale Beautification volunteer storytellers to keep the experience personal and engaging.
🌱 A Community-Centered Experience:
One of the most special parts of this walk is you. If you have a personal connection to a memorial tree, you’re invited to share a short story when we arrive at it. These moments are what bring the walk to life.
We’ll keep each share to just a few minutes so we can hear from multiple voices along the way.
