Sâmbătă, 5 aprilie, Beauty and the Rat vin la Rocknrolla pentru a-și lansa cea mai nouă apariție discografică, EP-ul "Written in the Scars".Nu vin singuri, însă : Polystate (Bacău) și Sothis (Iași) li se alătură, în efortul de a vă aduce o seară memorabilă de rock de calitate.

"Written in the Scars" (2025)
EP-ul "Written in the Scars" poate fi considerat un rezumat al unei perioade pe cât de zbuciumată, pe atât de împlinitoare și de necesară în istoria trupei. Înregistrat, mixat și masterizat în perioada 2019-2025, cel mai nou efort discografic al băieților poartă un titlu ce reflectă fidel maxima conform căreia arta se naște de cele mai multe ori din suferință.
Cele 7 piese transmit sentimente, gânduri și situații ce pot fi asemănate unor cicatrici sufletești pe care timpul poate că nu le-a vindecat încă de tot și care spun o poveste poate încă neîncheiată. Chiar și așa, tocmai în aceste cicatrici, care amintesc de trecut și care dau impulsul și puterea de a merge mai departe, se găsește speranța.
Beauty and the Rat
Au apărut în 2011 în Iași și au început să-și facă un nume pe scena muzicală locală de timpuriu. După mai multe concerte prin țară și participări la câteva festivaluri ("Rock 'n Iași", "Posada Rock"), trupa a lansat albumul "Unborn", în februarie 2016.
În anii următori, au continuat să aibă o activitate relativ susținută, urcând inclusiv pe scenele mai multor festivaluri din țară, între ele "Celtic Transilvania", “Kult Fest” și "Afterhills".
Din 2019 au început sesiunile de înregistrare a unui nou disc, dar fracturile de componență, pandemia și rimul lent de compoziție al pieselor și-au spus toate cuvântul asupra procesului creativ. În 2025, Beauty and the Rat se ridică, se scutură de praf și scoate la lumină rezultatul acestei perioade din cariera ei.
Beauty and the Rat înseamnă Alex Iosipescu (voce & chitară), Iulian Miron (chitară), Emanuel Filip (bas) și Codrin Murariu (tobe).

"Written in the Scars" (2025)
The "Written in the Scars" EP can be considered a summary of a period as turbulent as it was fulfilling and necessary in the band's history. Recorded, mixed and mastered between 2019-2025, the boys' newest discographic effort bears a title that faithfully reflects the maxim that, most of the time, art is born from suffering.
The 7 songs convey feelings, thoughts and situations that can be likened to soul scars that time may not yet have fully healed and that tell a perhaps still unfinished story. Even so, precisely in these scars, which remind of the past and which give the impulse and strength to move on, one can find hope.
Beauty and the Rat
The band formed in 2011 in Iași and started making a name for themselves early on the local music scene. After several shows across the country and participation in a few rock festivals ("Rock 'n Iași", "Posada Rock"), the band released the album "Unborn" in February 2016.
In the following years, Beauty and the Rat continued to have a relatively sustained activity, even climbing the stages of several other festivals in the country, among them "Celtic Transilvania", "Kult Fest" and "Afterhills".
In 2019, a short while after the recording sessions for a new disc had begun, internal differences, the pandemic period and the slow compositional rhythm of the songs brought the creative process to an almost complete halt. In 2025, Beauty and the Rat manages to finally stand up, shake off the dust, and bring to light the result of this period in its career.

Polystate este o trupă de alternative metal formată în 2022 de 5 muzicieni inovatori din Bacău. Aceștia iubesc senzația muzicii care le curge prin vene, apărând deci nevoia lor de a o exprima.
Astfel, Polystate imaginează și creează melodii menite să genereze emoții nemărginite, care să aibă un impact profund asupra gândurilor și sufletului fiecărui ascultător.
Trupa a cântat până acum predominant în Bacău, o apariție notabilă fiind cea de la festivalul "Young Island", în 2024. Anul acesta se profilează ca unul mult mai activ pentru băieți, în curând urmând a fi lansat și EP-ul de debut Polystate.
Polystate este formată din Ștefan (voce), Tudor (chitară), Răzvan (bass), Ștefan (tobe) și Rareș (platane și sampling).

Polystate is an alternative metal band founded in 2022 by 5 innovative musicians from Bacău. After some lineup changes, the boys started creating their own music. They love the feeling of music rushing through their veins and thus appeared the need for them to express it.
Envisioning and crafting powerful songs is what Polystate is all about, in order to create boundless emotions which deeply impact the listener's thoughts and soul.
The band has played predominantly in Bacău so far, a notable appearance being the one at the "Young Island" festival in 2024. This year is shaping up to be a much more active one, with the Polystate debut EP soon to be released.

Sothis e dovada clară că pasiunea pentru muzică nu are vârstă. Trupa s-a înființat în 2021 la Iași, abordând inițial un stil axat mai mult spre heavy/trash. Odată cu venirea Danielei la voce în 2022, Sothis și-a adaptat sound-ul după caldul ei timbru feminin, înclinând spre un rock alternativ unde sonoritățile metal sunt încă totuși prezente.
Odată cu completarea lineup-ului de către chitaristul Iulian Croitoru (ex-Acvila) în 2024 și de Maria Ioniță (voce backing) în 2025, Sothis e acum pregătită să cucerească un număr cât mai mare de spectatori, din România și nu numai.
Printre artiștii care au influențat trupa se numără Rage Against the Machine, Creed, The Pretty Reckless, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, dar și Megadeth sau Metallica.
Sothis sunt Daniela Grigoriu-Popa (voce), Maria Ioniță (voce backing), Iulian Croitoru (chitară), Ciprian Șandru (chitară), Costică Ciortescu (bas) și Lucian Ioniță (tobe).

Sothis is clear proof that passion for music has no age. The band was established in 2021 in Iași, initially approaching a style focused more on heavy/trash. With the arrival of Daniela on vocals in 2022, Sothis adapted its sound to her warm feminine timbre, leaning towards an alternative rock where metal sonorities are still, however, present.
With the completion of the lineup by guitarist Iulian Croitoru (ex-Acvila) in 2024 and by Maria Ioniță (backing vocals) in 2025, Sothis is now ready to conquer the ears and minds of as many listeners as possible, from Romania and beyond.
Among the artists who influenced the band are Rage Against the Machine, Creed, The Pretty Reckless, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, but also Megadeth or Metallica.
