Auditions for Artist Connection Theatre's production of "Beauty and the Beast", directed by Mandy Swartz and Wendy Niemeyer, will be held May 30 at 6:30 p.m. and June 1 at 11:00a.m., with callbacks on June 10 at 6:30 p.m. We welcome actors of all experience levels aged 10 and up to audition for this Disney classic.Performance Dates: September 20 - October 6

Please prepare a 1 minute or less excerpt that features your voice well. Songs will be performed acapella. These are some suggested songs, feel free to prepare something outside of this list.
Belle-“Home”
Beast- “If I Can’t Love Her”
Cogsworth- “Human Again”
Gaston- “Gaston”
Lefou- “Gaston”
Lumiere- “Be Our Guest”
Maurice- “Maurice Travels”
Mrs. Potts- “Beauty and the Beast”
All other characters- “Be Our Guest” or “Belle/Bonjour”
Available Roles:
Belle: Female 13 to 30 years old. Intelligent, insightful, kind hearted and loyal young lady who wants adventure and belonging, doesn’t like Gaston, falls in love with Beast. Needs a strong voice and chemistry with Beast
Beast: Teen or older male. A prince who has been cursed. Needs to be present, with a strong physicality, depth and emotion and wide vocal range. Needs chemistry with Belle
Cogsworth: Teen or older male. Tightly wound enchanted clock who serves the Beast in the castle
Gaston: Teen or young adult (under 30) male. Arrogant, aggressive, masculine humorous, wants to marry Belle. Needs a robust voice with a big range
Lefou: Teen or older male. Gaston’s bumbling sidekick, needs good physical comedy skills
Lumiere: Teen or older male. Suave, debonair enchanted candelabra, has optimistic flare, can speak sing most of Be Our Guest, flirty with Babette
Maurice- older male-Belle’s father, quirky inventor (possibly part of ensemble in multiple scenes)
Mrs. Potts: Older female. Motherly, enchanted tea pot, comforts other castle characters, sings title song, strong alto
Babette- female 13- 30 years old-enchanted feather duster, flirtatious with Lumiere, was a French maid (possibly apart of ensemble in multiple scenes)
Chip-boy or girl, child, older than 10-Mrs. Potts child, playful and bright enchanted tea cup (possibly apart of ensemble in multiple scenes)
Madame de la Grande- female older than 13-former opera diva turned into enchanted wardrobe, expressive personality (possibly apart of ensemble in multiple scenes)
Ensemble - 9 people, male and female 10 years and older to include varying/multiple roles, including:
Narrator-off stage voice over
Young/Old prince (Beast’s alter ego)-beginning and ending scenes
