Learn how to use complementary groups of native plants to achieve a stunning garden designed to support birds and pollinators and create climate resilience.

Join us for an informal presentation and chat about the best plants for your yard. Bring your questions for Credit Valley Conservation’s garden experts.

2026 Neighbourhood Tree Giveaway

CVC's home planting team will deliver and help plant a free tree to homeowners on less than one acre in Acton SNAP, Mississauga’s Cooksville SNAP, Georgetown’s Hungry Hollow SNAP, Brampton’s Fletchers Creek SNAP and Community Tree Project neighbourhoods. Limit of one free tree per household in 2026. Check your eligibility and learn more.

With a Master of Science, Melissa Creasey works with homeowners to promote sustainable landscaping on their properties, connecting people with the plants and animals found in their backyards.

Sara Maedel, Technician, Sustainable Home Landscapes

Sara Maedel draws on over 15 years’ worth of experience working with native plants to help urban residents create and maintain sustainable landscapes that support a healthy environment.
