I'm delighted to be co-tutoring this lovely residential summer school for voices and historical instruments again, alongside an excellent team of fellow tutors led by David Hatcher.This is the fifth time the course has run as Malvern College, with its large and airy spaces for group rehearsals - it's a great venue, and the attractions of Great Malvern are a few minutes' walk away.
As the specialist choral tutor, I will lead daily a cappella rehearsals with the choir, as well as mixed ensembles plus a couple of the famous 'all-comers' evening tuttis!
This course is particularly renowned for the quality of its early wind contingent, which enables the programming of ambitious polychoral music from the later 16th and 17th centuries.
