About this Event

The Beating the Silence: Certified Advocate Training Program — a full-day class designed to equip you with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to serve as a Certified Patient Advocate.

What You’ll Learn This intensive training combines real-world advocacy strategies with hands-on practice.

By the end of the day, you’ll understand:

•What it means to be a Patient Advocate and why it matters

•Recognizing medical gaslighting and knowing how to respond

•Patients’ rights, HIPAA protections, and privacy laws

•Critical issues in women’s health and disparities in care

•How to advocate in the Emergency Room and during urgent situations

•The art of listening, speaking up, and holding space

•Balancing community support and self-care as an advocate

Why This Training Matters

Women, especially Black and Brown women, are disproportionately unheard, misdiagnosed, and dismissed in medical spaces. This program prepares you to stand in the gap — for yourself, your family, and your community. You’ll leave empowered, informed, and certified as an advocate.

What’s Included:

•Full-day interactive training

•Certification as a Patient Advocate upon completion

•Workbook & advocacy materials

•Networking with like-minded advocates

•Lunch & refreshments

Who Should Attend?

•YOU

•Community leaders & organizers

•Caregivers & family members

•Nurses, health workers & wellness practitioners

•Anyone passionate about changing the way healthcare hears us

Reserve your spot today — space is limited! This is more than a class. It’s a movement. It’s advocacy in action. It’s Beating the Silence.
