This is quite a special swim, one of the most enjoyable 4km swims in the UK. The swim takes you around Aberdyfi Wharf and Jetty, on past the picturesque village and Penhelig corner. You will then carry on past the Roman Road, Picnic Island and The Outward Bound Trust up to a big yellow house, and to what looks like a small castle (Trefri) on an island.
Expect some tidal assistance at the start & finish, and some swimming against the tide at the turnaround point (the middle of the swim).
As a 2022 participant put it "This is the Grand National of swimming, there's nothing quite like it".
Pre-requisite: You must be able to swim 2km within 45 mins in open water, and have experience of sea swimming.
