Workshop Tutor - Amber Bicheno

Amber works for the Trust and loves to share her passion for nature with everyone, inspiring others to explore the beautiful countryside within the Gorge.

Severn Gorge Countryside Trust

This workshop is being hosted by the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust, a local charity.

The Trust’s aim is to promote, protect and conserve the living landscape of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, which has a diverse range of habitats, including wildflower meadows, woodlands and heathlands. But that’s not all! We maintain over 20 kilometres of footpaths, conserve and protect 60 historic structures, run exciting Outdoor Learning and Volunteering Programmes to encourage local people and visitors to engage with the natural environment in a variety of ways.

All proceeds from this workshop will support the work of the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust.

Our Outdoor Learning Programme 2022/2023

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face and collectively we need to do everything we can to address it. That’s why the Trust has declared a ‘Climate Emergency’ and our ambition is to be carbon neutral by 2030.

We are looking at all areas of our work to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible. Including our Outdoor Learning Programme.

The programme this year has a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach. Creative workshops will use natural, biodegradable or recycled materials where possible. Informative talks will provide opportunities for people to learn how the Trust manages its land and is restoring vital habitats to lock up carbon and improve biodiversity. Our walks will aim to inspire people of all ages to connect with and enjoy nature, benefitting their health and wellbeing.
