Beaded embroidery has been practiced by indigenous North American peoples and cultures all around the world for thousands of years. In this class, we will create a stunning piece of embroidery (the strawberry you see in the header) out of seed beads. The piece will be backed with leather, ready to attach to a purse or barrette, or other item of your choice. Karen Franks is the instructor. She is a member of the Wyandotte Nation and has learned bead work through the Wyandotte Nation Cultural Center. She has been with us twice before, teaching bead weaving and beaded Christmas ornaments.
The cost of the class is $50. Limit of six participants. To register online, use this link to go to Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.com/e/beaded-embroidery-tickets-1979904575884?aff=oddtdtcreator.
