SENIORSBeach Rookies is something we look forward to all year. It is an opportunity for our Beach Lifeguard Team to pass on their knowledge to the next generation of lifesavers.
The 3 days consists of theory, pool and ocean activities, as well as of course lots of fun!
Throughout the 3 days, each Lifesaver will be working towards Royal Lifesaving Society awards and certificates, as well as gaining points for their own groups to be in the running to win other awards based on team work, knowledge and daily challenges.
This SENIOR course is aimed at children aged 12 - 15 years old, who are currently working towards their RLSS Silver, Gold or NLSA Awards.
Prerequisites:
- Aged 12 to 15 years old
- Able to swim 200 metres confidently
- Able to tread water for 1 minute
- Able to climb out of the pool unaided and without using the steps
- Able to retrieve sinker from pool floor
- Comfortable in open water
