Join the Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project & the Birkenhead Heritage Society for a family friendly walk around Beach Haven’s Heritage Trail, followed by a morning tea at the Beach Haven Community House. Listen to fascinating stories from knowledgable locals about our beautiful area.9am - meet at Beach Haven Community House for a walk around Beach Haven's Heritage Trail
10am - meet back at the community house for morning tea and more stories from our local area.
The walk will be between 60-90 minutes at a family friendly pace (push chairs welcome) - sorry we can't accommodate our furry friends on this walk!
You are welcome to come along for both the walk and morning tea - or simply turn up at the house at 10am to listen to some more history of the area and enjoy morning tea!
This event will kick off our month long festivities for Celebrating Communities - an annual festival that celebrates the diverse and vibrant communities of Beach Haven and Birkdale.
With funding from Kaipātiki Local Board, the team from Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project (BBCP) work alongside local residents, community and cultural groups, businesses, education providers and community organisations to host an array of local events and activities throughout the month of March.
Celebrating Communities supports our community to come together to connect, learn and celebrate!
