With 5 billion streams worldwide to her name, beabadoobee has become a British indie icon, thanks to tracks like "the perfect pair" and "Glue Song". After unveiling two previews, the London-based singer will release her new album in its entirety on 16 August. She is now also announcing a European tour for autumn. You can catch beabadoobee performing live on stage at Ancienne Belgique on Tuesday, 26 November.
Beatrice Laus was born in the Philippines, grew up in London and started writing songs at the age of 17 under the name beabadoobee. Her first song "Coffee" was an unexpected success and was viewed hundreds of thousands of times on YouTube, thanks to a video uploaded by fans. Her debut album 'Fake It Flowers', released in 2020, was praised for its captivating blend of 90s alternative pop rock and garnered praise from the likes of Taylor Swift, who personally picked her as support for her Eras Tour in 2023. On her next album 'Beatopia', beabadoobee expanded her musical universe to include folk, bossa nova and hip-hop sounds, and collaborated with Matt Healy of The 1975 and PinkPantheress. To record her third album, she swapped London for Rick Rubin's studios in Malibu. On 'This Is How Tomorrow Moves', co-produced by renowned American producer and his loyal collaborator Jacob Bugden, beabadoobee says goodbye to her childhood and adolescence to kickstart her life as a woman. A year after her sold-out show at La Madeleine, she comes to AB on 26 November. A must-see!
