About this Event
On January 3rd, SRT Concepts LLC and She’s An Asset are partnering to deliver a practical, skills-based safety training for college students, high school students, parents, and anyone who wants to be prepared to be the solution, in an emergency.
This is a hands-on, high-impact program designed to give attendees usable skills that make a difference immediately—not theories, not scare tactics, just tools.
Over three hours, participants will rotate between short lectures and practical exercises, learning the essentials in each category:
What We Cover
- Mindset Development: How to think clearly under pressure and make fast, effective decisions.
- Situational Awareness: Seeing the early signs of danger before it becomes a problem.
- Active Shooter Response: Simple, life-saving actions anyone can take in a critical moment.
- Defensive Tactics & Personal Safety (Hands-On): Practical moves to break contact, create distance, and get to safety.
- Home Defense Basics: What every household should know to stay prepared.
- Barricading Techniques: How to secure a room quickly and effectively.
- Safety in Public Places:
- Events & Houses of Worship
- Stores & Restaurants
- Parking Lots — What to look for, what to avoid, and how to respond.
This training is accessible, direct, and empowering—no experience required. Every attendee leaves with skills they can use the moment they walk out the door.
What to bring: Water, a snack (if needed) and something to take notes on. Lunch will not be provided.
What to wear: Comfortable clothing and footwear. We will be inside for this training.
