About this Event
Celebrate the women who shaped you—through art.
Join us for Be Jeweled, a hands-on jewelry-making workshop designed to honor mothers and mother figures in a meaningful, creative way. Whether you’re creating alongside your mom, making a gift for her, or honoring her memory, this experience is rooted in love, reflection, and connection.
Using acrylic pour skins and jewelry blanks, you’ll design one-of-a-kind pieces like brooches, pins, and wearable keepsakes—each one as unique as the woman it represents.
No experience needed. Just come ready to create.

ABOUT MARY FAYE CLAGGETT
Mary Faye Claggett is a native of Ashton, Maryland. After graduating Spelman College with a degree in Chemistry, Mary went on to pursue a career in clinical research, focusing in Oncology. In 2018, her own beloved elderly father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Mary used art as a way to de-stress while taking her father to/from chemotherapy in Baltimore. She became obsessed with acrylic pour painting, and with the Pandemic, came the time to devote to the practice. Clinical Research is very much a “global” professional, and Mary originally sent her initial paintings to coworkers all over the world, from The Netherlands, to Mumbai, India as a way to bring a few moments of peace during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Her own style could be described as "peaceful art."
