About this Event
You are in a role where you need to think on your feet. You’re a facilitator, leader, manager and/or decision-maker. In the midst of ongoing global conflict, personal and professional pressures, and the complexities of life, embodied leadership is crucial to how you show up and meet business priorities effectively.
Embodied leadership is an alternative management and leadership approach that helps you develop a sensory intellect, or awareness of the body, and is a skill you can learn and cultivate. Embodied leadership asks: Are you leading with awareness of your body and how you feel? Do you know what a “yes” and “no” feels like in your body?
Developing an embodied leadership approach serves critical business priorities:
- Encourages more awareness, presence, and intention as a leader and creates responsiveness to the dynamic individuals and teams you work with
- Equips you to respond to changing strategic initiatives, cope with uncertainty, and navigate difficult conversations
Through this interactive workshop you will:
- Learn about neurology in the workplace
- Examine the connection between embodiment practices and leadership
- Define what embodiment means to you and your leadership style
- Practice mindfulness exercises that help you connect to your body and increase awareness
- Craft a personal embodied leadership plan to implement
Be Here Now: Embodied Leadership is offered virtually and in-person to individuals interested in professional development, and is co-facilitated by Lee Wilmoth of Learn & Work and Sada Naegelin of Facilitate Insight. Lee (they/them) is a learning designer, strategist, and facilitator who weaves together expertise in instructional design, adult learning and development, and facilitation to deliver engaging and holistic learning experiences to improve culture and organizational development. Sada (she/her) is bilingual and bicultural (Spanish/English) with nearly 20 years of experience in community engagement, relationship management, and human-centered design. Together, Lee and Sada have over 30 years of experience dancing and performing, which informs how they facilitate and lead.
