Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem is a powerful choral work composed in memory of the famous Italian writer and humanist Alessandro Manzoni. It was first performed in 1874, and as Maestro Luke says, "There are certain pieces that have a greatness that extends beyond the page...” This is clearly one of those pieces. BCCO is excited to perform this deeply moving work. If you already know the piece, come hear this thrilling performance. If it’s new to you, you're in for an extraordinary concert experience.
