The BC Interior Jazz Festival began 47 years ago, under the direction of the late Johnny Deschner, Robin Jarman, and Dr. Doug Graham. The half day festival quickly grew to a day and a half, then two full days. The Festival became a three day event when vocal jazz was added in 1999. The BC Interior Jazz Festival is organized and operated by volunteers and has extraordinary community support. We have been privileged to have the support of the following sponsors: School District #23, Wentworth Music, Yamaha Canada, Gorman Brothers, The Rotary Centre for the Arts, and the Kelowna Community Theatre. The BC Interior Jazz Festival hosts Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz adjudicated performances at the Kelowna Community Theatre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
