Please join the BCIMS community for this dinner gathering at Nuba!
When: Saturday November 1st, 6pm PT
Where: Nuba in Kitsilano, 3116 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6K 2G9
What: We’ll share food and companionship, as well as marking the birthday of founding teacher Adrianne Ross.
Cost: A sliding scale of fees is offered. Please choose the highest rate you can comfortably offer:
Supported Ticket $25 CAD: The supported rate covers about 50% of the total expenses, including dinner costs and a portion of staff time and administrative support.
Sustaining Ticket $50 CAD: The sustaining rate represents what is needed to cover dinner/admin costs.
Generosity Ticket $75 CAD: The generosity rate covers the cost of dinner/admin and also provides funds to support BCIMS programming including financial assistance to those attending BCIMS retreats/gatherings such as this one. Tax Receipts: Please note that we are unable to offer tax receipts for folks who purchase the Generosity Ticket. If you are interested in receiving a tax receipt, we recommend you purchase a Sustaining Ticket and offer a donation of any amount to BCIMS via our page.
Menu: We will be sharing a family style meal called Le Feast (see sample menu below). Your ticket includes two courses served on platters for sharing at your table. Each ticket also includes a non-alcoholic drink of your choice, including lemonade, pop, or Nuba’s house-made juice. Lastly, a serving of baklava is included to end the night on a sweet note.
Special dietary needs: There will be an opportunity on the order form to share any special dietary needs and/or severe allergies. Please note this menu is vegetarian, with most dishes served being vegan and gluten free.
Accessibility:
- Our gathering spot is up a flight of stairs.
- The bathrooms are multi-stall men’s and women’s bathrooms on the ground floor.
- The restaurant tends to be noisy.
- Scents: We ask that you please refrain from wearing scented products including perfumes and colognes to support those in our community who live with scent sensitivies and allergies.
- Cold/Flu: We ask that you please stay home if you are feeling ill.
Bring: Yourself! Please do NOT bring gifts or flowers, but there will be a card for Adrianne that you can sign onsite. There will also be an opportunity to offer dana to BCIMS should you wish, but there is no obligation!
Cancellation and Refund Policy: Please contact Jess at [email protected] to request a refund. We offer full refunds up to 3 days (72 hours) before the start of the gathering. In other words, we are not able to offer refunds for requests after Oct 29 at 6pm.
Ticket Transfers: If you can no longer attend the dinner but a friend/family member wishes to attend in your place, please email [email protected] and we'd be happy to swap your ticket to your friend/family member.
