Think again. Beyond the Pale is all about drams that may look delicate in the glass but pack in character, charm, and flavour in spades. Join Chris from Berry Brothers & Rudd – Britain’s oldest wine & spirit merchant – as we explore six brilliant whiskies that prove colour isn’t everything:
- Benrinnes Small Batch – rich layers of fruit and spice, with that classic Benrinnes backbone.
- Balmenach – a proper Highlander: earthy, malty, and full of personality.
- Knockdhu – bright, crisp, and easy to love – a dram that feels like springtime in a glass.
- Glendullan – sweet, juicy, and orchard-fresh, one of Speyside’s best-kept secrets.
- Glen Moray – mellow and moreish, with gentle vanilla and soft fruits.
- Caol Ila Small Batch – pale as straw but brimming with coastal smoke and brine.
