Every year, we pray over what kind of event could truly bring people together — not just for fun, but for purpose. That’s how The Rose Market BBQ Cook-Off & Market Event was created. What started as a simple idea turned into something much bigger: a day filled with community, laughter, music, support, and giving back.
On June 20, 2026, families, friends, vendors, ministries, and local businesses will gather together at the Bass Pro Shopping Center in Manteca for a day that is about more than just barbecue. Yes, there will be incredible food, live music, raffles, shopping, and competition — but behind every booth, every plate, and every smile is a mission to serve others.
The Rose Market was founded as a ministry-based market focused on outreach, community connection, and helping families in need. This BBQ Cook-Off also helps support our Annual Toy Drive Ministry, which provides Christmas gifts and joy to children and families during the holiday season. Through events like this, we are able to continue creating opportunities to give back, support local small businesses, and build relationships that strengthen our community.
This year’s event will feature amazing BBQ competitors battling it out for bragging rights, community judges helping crown the winners, exciting raffle prizes, local vendors, and entertainment throughout the day. We’re also excited to welcome the car club community, bringing some incredible vehicles and positive energy to the event.
One of the most special moments of the day will be a live performance from the Khmerunity Dance Group at 11AM. Their performance represents culture, unity, tradition, and the beauty of community coming together through dance and celebration. We are honored to have them be part of this event.
