Now in its eighth year, the Balanced Breakfast Music Summit has previously taken place in San Francisco at venues including PianoFight, Center for New Music, and Hotel Utah, with additional Summits produced in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 Virtually, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Each year, the Summit brings together members of the Balanced Breakfast community from across the country to share knowledge, build relationships, and strengthen local music ecosystems.
The 2026 Summit is a one-day conference designed to support artists at every stage of their career—balancing creativity with sustainability, and passion with practical tools.
Two Concurrent Tracks
This year’s Summit will take place across two simultaneous ballrooms, allowing attendees to choose the conversations most relevant to their goals and experience.
The Musician Track
Focused on the creative and human side of making music, this track explores:
- Songwriting, creativity, and artistic growth
- Performance, touring life, and stage presence
- Wellness, balance, and long-term sustainability
- Collaboration, community, and creative identity
The Business Track
Focused on the practical realities of building a music career, this track covers:
- Marketing, branding, and social media
- Streaming, distribution, and royalties
- Booking, touring, and live events
- Legal, finance, and career strategy
Attendees are encouraged to move freely between tracks throughout the day.
Lunch Break
A food truck will be on-site with food available for purchase throughout the day.
Lodging
A limited room block is available at Hampton Inn & Suites Napa for Summit attendees. Guests may book at the group rate while availability lasts, with rooms reserved specifically for event participants.
