His performance of “Hey Jesus,” a song he wrote while going through some personal struggles and questioning his faith, became a defining moment on the show. During a time when he felt lost and disconnected from his beliefs, Baylee penned the song as a raw and vulnerable letter to Jesus. While the message of the song is universal, the song marked a pivotal moment in his own journey, bringing him back to a grounded sense of faith. Now released as the first single from his upcoming album, “Hey Jesus” sets the tone for the introspective, sonically diverse music to come. From an early age, Baylee moved between creative worlds. He grew up on the road with his father, even introducing the Backstreet Boys on stage when he was just 4 years old. At 13, he made his Broadway debut in Disaster!, earning a Drama Desk nomination.
