About this Event
Come join us at for a fun-filled day as we explore nature in our city! The Watershed Project (TWP) and Golden Gate Bird Alliance will lead a community volunteer nature walk and workday focsing on the best bioswalelae in the East Bay!
Located next to Baxter Creek, TWP's bioswale is home to more than 30 species of native plants making this stretch of creek truly a biodiversity hotspot for wildlife as they travel through and live in our urban habitat.
Join us for the first port of the event at 8 AM for a chance to learn about the birds that travel this waterway on their fall migration, and hopefully spot a few of them!
At 9:30, we will focus on adding more plants to the pollinator garden and bioswale that surround the community center and parking lot, and work on collecting trash from the creek.
This event is open to volutneers of all ages and abilities. We can't wait to see you there!
