BAX Annex Open House Celebration!

Join us for an afternoon of creativity, community, and celebration as we open the doors to BAX’s brand-new accessible Annex Space at 80 Hanson Place! The Annex is located on the Ground floor, Entrance on South Portland Street.

This exciting event follows our inaugural ASSEMBLE convening on disability artistry (curated by BAX AIR Elisabeth Motley and in collaboration with Jacob’s Pillow) and invites you to explore, connect, and create. Stop by anytime for:

✨ Costume & Accessories Swap – Bring a costume, clothing item, or accessory to swap, donate, or contribute to BAX’s collection for our intergenerational Drag Performance programming!

✨ Artist Rental & Program Info – Learn how artists can rent and activate the annex for creative work, performances, and more (and get a discount code!).

✨ Sample BAX Annex Programming – Get a taste of what’s to come, including:

🎭 2:00 PM – Drag with Kelindah bee Schuster (new drag summer arts program for Middle and High school students!)

🎭 3:00 PM – EmergeNYC with george emilio sanchez

✨ Meet the BAX Community – Connect with artists, leadership & staff, and fellow creatives familiar and new!

This event is free and open to all ages—adults, children, families, and performing artists!
