Battle of the Wines Returns to Central VictoriaWine lovers are invited to test their tastebuds when the Battle of the Wines returns on Saturday 25 April from 2pm at Liberty Flat Farm in Taradale.
Participants can bring their favourite wine and see how it fares in a lively blind-tasting competition judged by wine experts and enthusiasts. Wines will compete across four categories:
- Macedon Ranges,
- Victoria,
- Australia, and
- International —
Category winners face off in a final “battle” to determine the overall champion.
Competitors may enter up to four wines, while observers are welcome to attend and enjoy the tastings, food and music from DJs Otis and Darren.
The event revives a tradition dating back more than 800 years to wine contests first staged by French King Philippe Auguste, and reintroduced locally in Malmsbury in 2018.
Entry is $20 for battle competitors and $30 for observers.
